Currently, I'm very interested in the marriage of form, function, and beauty. Meaning, I want to see how I can use sculptural forms in a functional way that are beautiful and wearable. Inspiration for this generally comes from modern sculpture artists like Jacques Lipchitz, Amadeo Modigliani and other cubist and 20th century sculptors.

I ask myself, How can I bring those forms to life as a comfortable piece of jewelry? How I can shrink this large sculpture into something that can be worn on the body? It's something I'm experimenting with for wax-work and casting, which is itself a whole new world for me.
I also like cool, clean, modern, and geometric. These are words I use for my wardrobe, the way I decorate my house, and how I design jewelry. I'm always drawn to minimalism in design, which means avoiding anything overly fussy—no extra bits or decorative flourishes for their own sake. It's beautiful when other artists use tiny cut-outs and delicate silver granules, but those elements don’t suit my process, and I quickly lose patience with soldering them. Plus, I love when a design or a stone is so good, it doesn't need extraneous components.

We'll see where this aesthetic takes me.
