Some of my favorite designs begin with a question rather than a sketch. A “what if?” A quiet moment of curiosity. The rings in the Lucida collection started exactly that way—at the intersection of practical problem-solving, wholesale realities, and a fascination with forces far bigger than anything we can hold in our hands. What began as a challenge around sizing slowly turned into one of my most sculptural and meaningful ring designs to date.

Once the Lucida collection was complete, I began thinking about how I could design rings that truly belonged alongside it. Originally, Lucida was meant to be a wholesale-only collection—created specifically for retail stores. Because of that, I didn’t spend much time thinking about rings at first. Ring sizing can be tricky when you don’t know who the end customer will be.

But once I realized Lucida was too good not to share on my website, I knew it needed rings. That’s when two designs came to life: the Solaris Band and the Interstellar Ring. Both share the same signature texture, but Interstellar features a subtle, sculptural ornament—slightly concave, with edges that curve gently upward.

It reminds me of gravitational lensing—how the immense gravity around planets, massive stars, and black holes can actually bend light around themselves. Isn’t that wild? Light is the fastest thing in the universe, but there's this other force that can bend photons around itself and act like a magnifying glass.

Not only does Interstellar feel like celestial forces are at work, it also makes me feel like I'm wearing a modern sculpture on my hand. How many rings do you see that are so minimal, but also interesting at the same time?

Interstellar is one of my favorite rings to wear and I hope you'll love it too! Head HERE to see a short video on how the Interstellar Ring moves.
